All Air Malta check-in desks will close 45 minutes before flight departure time from June 1 as the national airline steps up its campaign to ensure flights are on time.

"We are working hard to improve our service, and you can help us keep it all running smoothly," an airline statement said.

The airline urged its passengers to check in their Air Malta flight by latest 45 minutes before departure, or better yet, to do so on line.

Air Malta's new campaign has been called 'On the DOT - Destination: on Time'.
