Air Malta announced has appointed Joshua Zammit as Chief Officer for Organisational Development. He has been entrusted with building the organisational development function of the airline and developing and implementing modern human resources systems which support the business objectives of the company.

"He will also be responsible for the cultural transformation within the airline as well as industrial relations and staff development," the airline said.

Mr Zammit has over 14 years experience in organisational development and human resources management both locally and internationally.  He has held various appointments in the public and private sectors with his most recent being at Actavis, an international generic pharmaceutical company.  Prior to this he held positions in consultancy and senior management having worked for the Management Systems Unit, the Planning Authority (now MEPA) and MITTS Ltd (now MITA).  Joshua’s international experience spans the US and Europe among others and has led or participated in a number of projects varying from post acquisition integration to leadership development and change management.

Air Malta said this was is  another step forward in its reorganisation. "The airline is bringing together an exciting combination of local and foreign talent that are entrusted to strengthen the airline and achieve a turnaround for the benefit of its customers, employees, shareholder and all the local tourism industry."
