The Association of Operations Controllers has agreed to call off all industrial action against Air Malta and resolve its pending issues before the Industrial Tribunal.
The industrial action was called on Wednesday but the airline managed to continue operations as the work was outsourced to a service provider.
The airline said in a statement this afternoon that the agreement was reached following the intervention of Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi.
The dispute erupted because the association, which represents some 15 workers who coordinate the administration of aircraft while on the ground, made a claim for recognition two years ago.
It has accused Air Malta of dragging its feet on the issue because it was being pressured by the General Workers' Union.
