Six third year B.Ed. (Hons) students with subject specialisation in primary science attended a 20-day Erasmus intensive course - AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) organised in the Czech Republic earlier this year. This course was the second intensive course, following that run in Malta last year. Dr Suzanne Gatt from the Department of Primary of Education is the partner responsible for AIDA for the University of Malta.

The intensive course offered students the opportunity to obtain training in the teaching of science from different tutors from the different partner countries. The AIDA co-ordinator is from Austria and partners come from Portugal, Greece, Germany, Sweden, Iceland, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium and Malta. Tutors from the partner countries are involved in providing the training in the intensive course. This year, the tutor from the University of Malta was Dr Martin Musumeci.
