Malta registered the fifth highest drop in real agricultural income over the past five years, according to the latest news release issued by the EU’s statistical office.

Figures published yesterday showed that between 2010 and 2015, there was a 31 per cent drop in the agri­cultural income with Finland bottom of the list with a decline of 53.7 per cent.

On the other hand, Italy topped the list with an increase of 26.1 per cent followed by the Czech Republic with 21.6 per cent.
