Juventus have confirmed Andrea Agnelli as the new club's president.

The 34-year-old replaces Jean-Claude Blanc at the helm of the Turin side.

A statement from the club read: "From today, a new era begins with Andrea Agnelli.

"Juventus has its 25th president of its history - the fourth of the Agnelli family following his grandfather Edoardo, his uncle Giovanni and his father Umberto."

Andrea's father Umberto was the last Agnelli to be Juve president nearly 50 years ago, while his uncle Giovanni Agnelli was the club's long-time honorary president until his death in 2003.

Blanc will revert to the position of chief executive this summer.

Agnelli said: "My appointment confirms the cohesion of the family and the effort for this club.

"The work to be done is very challenging. That is why Jean-Claude Blanc and I, in harmony with all the other executives and the council, are working on the programme and the strategies for the next season."

It is the second presidential change Juventus have made in eight months, after Blanc replaced Giovanni Cobolli Gigli in October.
