There are times when one may find it difficult to focus, be attentive or control one's impulsive behaviour.

But for 7.5 per cent of children and 4.4 per cent of adults suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), this problem is so persistent that it interferes with their daily lives.

Those affected have a greatly reduced ability to maintain attention without being distracted or to control what they're doing or saying.

Psychologist Ethel Felice tells Pink that early identification and treatment are extremely important.

The third anniversary edition of Pink, which comes out with The Times tomorrow, places a heavy accent on the diverse facets of health.

Among them is eczema, and the importance of staying fit and healthy throughout life - three women in their 60s show that aging is something to celebrate, not dread.

Other interesting stories that pack the 37th issue of Pink include tips on how to be more environment-friendly by reducing your carbon footprint, and the trials and happy moments of mixed marriages.

This month, as the fashion world rages with the male touch, Pink took the unusual step of putting a guy on its cover - he also graces the pages of the bumper edition of ShowStopper, which offers you a taste of all the dazzling temptations in the shops.

There's plenty to keep you occupied this month with a piece on do-it-yourself chick tricks, treating summer's ravages on your skin, and a researched piece on the rise and fall of actresses in Hollywood.

This issue also features the usual fix of health, fitness, food, and relationship advice, as well as prizes to be won for those who write in with their feedback.

Pink is published by Allied Newspapers Ltd, printed by Progress Press Ltd and produced by Mediamaker. It is edited by The Times' journalists Fiona Galea Debono and Ariadne Massa and designed by Helen Cassar Torreggiani and Joseph Schembri.
