An African man was jailed for six months after admitting to making use of a forged passport to try to leave Malta. Ketega Inus, from Burkina Faso in West Africa, admitted to making use of a fake Ghanaian passport and a Spanish residence permit, both issued under the name of Salis Ramadan, on and before January 6. Magistrate Miriam Hayman jailed him for six months.

Police Inspector Mario Haber prosecuted.
