The AFM said today that one of its patrol boats took 370 migrants to Sicily after operations off Libya over the past four days.

The patrol vessel was working with the Italian coastguard.

During its first rescue mission, the patrol boat rescued 138 migrants in Libyan waters. Subsequently, the Maltese vessel was asked to transfer another 233 migrants on board its helicopter deck, all of whom have disembarked in Italy.
