Two British men were earlier this afternoon medically evacuated from Comino by an Armed Forces of Malta rescue helicopter.

The men needed evacuation after both suffered sudden chest pain.

The first man rescued was swimming at around 12.30 p.m. when he felt a piercing chest pain. He was taken to Mater Dei by helicopter.

At 1.45 p.m., another man also felt a chest pain while swimming, and once stabilised he was also medically evacuated to hospital for urgent treatment.
