AEGEE-Valletta, the local antenna in AEGEE-Europe's network, will be hosting its first ever AEGEE Network Meeting in Malta early next year.

The event, entitled Network Meeting - Valletta 2009: Meet Me Where the Rainbow Ends, will be a meeting for 45 Maltese and European AEGEE leaders and members, already active or aspiring to become so, who want to exchange opinions and ideas, are willing to learn, share knowledge and experiences, while training others on issues of general youth interest.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss about various issues, and participate in a number of interesting workshops conducted by local and international trainers and speakers.

The meeting, scheduled to take place on March 5-8, 2009, will be followed by a cultural post-event which will give participants the opportunity to experience Maltese culture, heritage and the beauties of our island.

Pierre Vassallo La Rosa, president of AEGEE-Valletta, said: "This is yet another remarkable milestone in our 11 years of history following also the organisation of the European Boards' Meeting and AEGEE's General Meeting, the Agora, which where both voted AEGEE's Best Events of the year in 2005 and 2007 respectively."

Meanwhile, AEGEE-Valletta members who have just attended the last AEGEE Agora held in Aachen, Germany, were extensively engaged in promoting the event, with the aim of attracting prospective participants to come over to Malta and participate in the network meeting.

AEGEE-Valletta also invites companies that have an interest in promoting local products and services within Europe and beyond, and/or who are interested in being official partners of the event, to contact the organising committee.
