Aegean, the largest Greek airline, landed at Malta International Airport for the first time today from Athens. The aircraft was welcomed by a celebratory water arch from the airport’s fire and rescue team.

The crew and passengers on board were treated to flowers and a cake cutting ceremony in the presence of Malta Tourism Authority chairman Gavin Gulia, MTA CEO Paul Bugeja, Malta International Airport CEO Alan Borg and Aegean’s ground operations director Panos Nicolaidis.

Aegean, a member of the Star Alliance network, is the largest Greek carrier providing premium quality short and medium haul services.
