The FOI registered its disagreement with Government for accepting additional acquis concerning a number of chapters in respect of 2000 and 2001 without any discussion at Meusac levels.

The federation was not aware of any economic impact assessment studies concerning the additional legislation being accepted by Government in respect of 2000/2001. Consequently, in a letter the FOI recently sent to Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Joe Borg, it enquired about the criteria used to determine that the additional legislation adopted by Brussels, and now being accepted by Government, did not present any problems to local industry.
