Thirteen projects proposed by administrative committees in Malta and Gozo are to be financed by the government through a purposely set up scheme, Parliamentary Secretary for local government Chris Said said this morning.

Addressing a news conference he said that the projects included maintenance of gardens and public spaces, road repair, rehabilitation of rural zones and traffic management. Some projects include measures to increase safety and others use alternative energy.

The committees that will be benefitting are those of Fleur de Lys, Swatar, Sta Lucija, Hal Farrug, Xlendi, Bahar ic-Caghaq, Bahrija, Tal-Virtu, Kappara, Burmarrad, Madliena, Marsalforn and Bubaqra.
