Grammy and Oscar award-winning singer Adele  has earned a trip to Buckingham Palace to receive her title of Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Adele will receive the award for services to music by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

The 25-year-old is one of Britain's most successful artists winning a string of international awards which includes nine Grammy's and an Oscar for best original song for "Skyfall". She is reigning at the top of the Amazon charts as the best-selling artist of all time with her album "21".

Amazon says more than 28 million copies of the album have been sold worldwide.
