Mater Dei Hospital ambulance drivers took industrial action yesterday over what their union claims to be the Health Ministry’s failure to implement an agreement.

The drivers were ordered not to clean the ambulances, not to go out without a nurse and not to wear a uniform, Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin said in a statement.

The dispute revolves around an allegedly unfulfilled agreement between the two parties on granting leave for drivers.
