The 16th edition of the Hamrun's San Ġorġ Preca Lyceum for Boys cycling marathon was inaugurated this afternoon by acting President Dolores Cristina.

Sports Parliamentary Secretary Chris Agius and shadow minister Therese Comodini Cachia were present.

The three-day cycling marathon is intended to raise enough awareness and money to provide schools and other child focused entities with an automated external defibrillators which could save a life.

Former Inter player Ivan Cordoba is tomorrow visiting the Mqabba football club, where a football tournament has been organised by various nurseries in aid of the marathon.

He will then head on to the Lyceum in Hamrun to support and encourage the  cyclists.
