A 52-year-old woman of Balzan was granted bail today after pleading not guilty in court to having had in her possession the ID card of another person, having made a false declaration to the authorities about her own details, and relapsing.

Police inspector Joseph Hersey said she had already served time in prison on similar charges.

In seeking bail, her lawyers said the accused had twin two-year-old daughters and a young grandson whom she looked after. Bail was granted against a personal guarantee of €5,000.
