A 49-year-old man was today charged with the attempted murder of his
wife and son.
Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona heard the man from Floriana plead not
guilty to trying to kill his wife and son and to the illegal possession of
a pistol and a pointed instrument in Marsa last Thursday between 6 p.m and
8 p.m.
The magistrate granted the man bail on the condition he does not leave his
home and bound him by a personal guarantee of Lm 5,000 ( € 11, 687).
The name of the man is not being published to protect the identity of his
family.
