Regarding the question of divorce, there have been many arguments for and against in the media but the majority of Maltese who are still practising Roman Catholics find the subject very offensive.

Those who are unhappily married should find other ways and methods of solving their problems if they are genuinely concerned and not take a stand which, through experience in other countries, has led to complete disaster – especially for the children. The man who started the ball rolling should be thoroughly ashamed of himself even though, as he says, everybodyis at liberty to think what he wants.

The pity of this is that it is not just a one-man show but it will affect many others negatively. Whoever is not happy in Malta should leave and go to another country where perhaps they will not cause a scandal.
