England centre Stuart Abbott will miss the Six Nations championship after breaking his right leg in a Heineken Cup match for London Wasps.

Abbott, who has played just nine club games since his return from shoulder surgery last year, is likely to be sidelined for at least 10 weeks, Wasps said on their website.

Abbott's absence leaves England's midfield in disarray less than three weeks before the opening match of their Six Nations campaign against Wales in Cardiff on February 5. Veteran centre Will Greenwood will miss the championship after having shoulder surgery last month while Mike Tindall is recovering from a fracture in his right foot.
