Traffic in busy Abate Rigord Street, Ta' Xbiex, was at a standstill midday because of crane operations, causing traffic problems.

An Arriva bus collided with the crane, further complicating matters.

A reader said tourists could be seen going out of the Arriva buses which stopped behind it,  taking photos of the whole affair!

The road was reopened at about 1.15 p.m.
