The Christmas Market at San Anton School is in full swing providing families with a festive fun day with a difference.

The main attraction is a live crib where a wooden stable has been purposely built in the school picnic area under a large carob tree.

With the support of local farmers this stable also is housing live sheep, lambs and a donkey transforming the area into a typical nativity scene.

Some of the children visiting are dressed up in nativity costumes. The children are also meeting the "real" Santa Claus in his Grotto. They can listen to stories, write their letter to Santa, watch a movie at Rudolph's Mini-Cinema and participate in Christmas art and craft and baking workshops.

There are Bouncy Castles and a Go-Cart Track for the younger ones while older children are encouraged to take part in Pasturi painting workshops or learn about the magical traditions of Christmas all around the world.

The market also includes various stalls which feature traditional decorations, gift-wrapping, home accessories, giftware, jewellery, wooden toys, advent calendars, plants, chocolates, children's gifts, toys, gourmet foods, spices, festive treats, home-made jams and chutneys.

The cast of Alibaba – Traditional Christmas Panto is visiting the market at 3.30 p.m. and visitors will get the opportunity to meet the actors and also purchase tickets for the production.
