During the past few days over 700 new presents donated by the parents of students at San Anton School’s Early Years and Junior Sectors were distributed to various children’s homes and shelters following an overwhelming response to a charitable Christmas initiative launched by the school.

The gifts were distributed to the Ursuline Creche Sliema, Angela House, St Rita’s Home, Tarxien, Fra Diegu Home, Dar San Ġużepp, Dar Sacra Familja, Dar St Theresa, Dar Tereża, Dar Papa Franġizku, Rainbow Ward, Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre, Dar Merħba Bik, Dar Merħba Bik Foundation, Balzan Open Centre, Mġarr Parish, Appoġġ and Children’s Dreams Malta.

A group  of parents also involved friends and family to raise funds to buy a laptop for teenage residents in one of the homes, while a number of professionals and businesses generously sponsored services to fulfill the children’s Christmas wishes.

This was San Anton School’s third ‘30 Ways of Giving’ initiative, during which the school community is carrying out 30 charitable and environmental activities throughout the current scholastic year as part of celebrations marking the school’s 30th anniversary.
