I woke up very early, as I was very excited. We had to go to Valletta to visit the Malta Heritage, the Museum of Archaeology and the Malta Experience. It was going to be a very interesting day.

After the morning assembly all of us went to our classrooms and then the headmaster informed us that the coach had arrived. Quietly we got on the bus and after half an hour we arrived in Valletta.

We walked down Republic Street and entered the Museum of Archaeology. The guide told us that we were at the Auberge de Provance and that it was built in the 16th century. He also told us that the first people to come to Malta came from Sicily, about 7,000 years ago. We also saw a display of different stones, two of them were obsidian and flint. That was really interesting.

After visiting Malta Heritage, we proceeded to the Malta Experience, where we saw a very interesting documentary about the different phases Malta went through under foreign rule. The Maltese people have suffered hunger and great pain, especially during World War II. War is a terrible thing that no one should experience.

After lunch we headed back to school. It was a memorable day which I will never forget. I think we should have more outings like this.
