Christmas, the birth of the Saviour, is the great event; it is the most perfect gift ever conceived.

His expanding peaceful government will never end; He will rule with perfect fairness and justice from His throne; He will bring true justice and peace to all nations of the world. But, if we are honest, we have to admit that these praises ring hollow.

His government and peace, His order and justice, far from increasing, seem a little shaky - both in our private lives and in the world.

To make a real Christmas it takes two: Christ and us.
