It was with sadness that we witnessed the passing away of our friend Willie. We have been friends for the last 42 years since we used to meet regularly at the Exiles in Sliema and also sail on his immaculately maintained yacht. We simply cannot add anything further to the write-up, in this same daily paper, by Doriette Rizzo Naudi who has aptly depicted his noble and unique characteristics.

A perfect gentleman with a great human side endlessly dedicated to his family, placing its well-being before his own; always trying to ameliorate and help, focusing on those close to him. The two beautiful wreaths on his coffin at Stella Maris church, one in the form of a cross and the other of an anchor, were a living example of his love for humanity and the sea.

He will be sorely missed by his family, all his friends especially those at the Malta Union Club, the business community and the surviving camaraderie of his wartime service in the armed forces. Our sincere condolences go to his wife Anna, sons Raphael and Christopher, daughter Maryanne, spouses and grandchildren. May the Lord give him eternal rest which he well deserves.
