U.S. Presidnet Barack Obama keeping faith with a long standing tradition, has pardoned a Turkey at the White House a day ahead of Thanksgiving.
"All right, I've got to give the special dispensation. You are hereby pardoned. Congratulations, Cobbler. You have a great life," the President said.
The Turkey named Cobbler will live out its days at George Washington's plantation at Mount Vernon, Virginia.
Later the First Family headed to the Capital Area Food Bank to hand out food to those in need.
