The Gozitan parishes of Xagħra, Nadur, Sannat and Żebbuġ were established by Bishop Davide Cocco Palmeri on April 28, 1688, so the date is a very important day for these four villages.

In fact, both in Xagħra and Sannat a street was named after this important date.

In Nadur, a square was named for this date. In Qala, there is a road named for this date.

The original church used by the parish of Nadur in 1688 was the Immaculate Conception, on the outskirts of the village of Qala.

Although Żebbuġ parish was also established on April 28, 1688, no street or square is dedicated to this important day. May I invite the Żebbuġ local council to discuss this issue and name a street after this historic date? In my opinion, the best choice would be part of the long Għajn Mhelhel Street, which stretches from near the village church to Żaki Street.

Żebbuġ Day is marked on April 28 each year. This year I will attend, as usual, but on this year's Żebbuġ Day I hope that in one of the speeches it will be announced that soon a street will be named after this important date for Żebbuġ.
