In line with its commitment to promote sports and physical activity among the young Maltese generations, Kellogg’s recently sponsored the certificate presentation at the Malta Football Association (MFA) indoor pool.
Held at the Millennium Stand Complex in Ta’ Qali, 200 young swimmers received their course completion certificates together with their assessment sheet from their instructors in the presence of parents, friends and popular mascot Coco the Monkey.
The swimming courses cover various skills including breath control and holding, body co-ordination, in-line kick and back kick.
Children are placed in one of the six groups available according to their swimming abilities and ages.
“Our aim is to promote the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle among the children,” Catalin Stan, the MFA swimming pool manager, said.
“These swimming courses provide the first step in the right direction. The participants have shown steady progress throughout the course and we augur that they continue their training on a regular basis.”
