Anhelica Pace, 11, who studies voice training with Priscilla Psaila, local director of Singer Stage, was recently in St Petersburg to participate in the Little Stars international contest.

The young singer placed first in the category for soloists, aged nine to 11, where she competed with 24 other singers.

She sang Je t’Aime, written by Christopher Azzopardi, on the first night and Jennifer Hudson’s cover version of I Can’t Let Go on the second evening.

Petya Georgieva of Bulgaria received the grand prize.
