Two French students yesterday apologised for jumping on a car and causing about €800 damage after spending a night on the town. Magistrate Antonio Mizzi asked the young blonde petite girls whether they had enjoyed their night out, to which they coyly answered: “Only the first part.”

Anouchka Lanvin, 18, and her 17-year-old friend, who cannot be named because she is still a minor, admitted to causing €826 damage to the car at 2 a.m. yesterday after jumping on the bonnet and roof.

In conditionally discharging them for a year, the magistrate told them: “I will not be jailing you, even though the temptation is rather strong.”

Police Inspector Malcolm Bondin prosecuted.
