A 20-year-old man was yesterday charged with slightly injuring a woman when he crashed into her car before driving off.

Jesmar Gafà pleaded not guilty to driving recklessly, speeding, slightly injuring Rita Galea and damaging her vehicle on Triq L-Ingieret in Luqa at about 3.30p.m. on November 21.

He was also charged with failing to stop after hitting Ms Galea, driving without a licence or insurance cover and giving false information to the police.

Police Inspector Spiridione Zammit prosecuted.
