I would like to point out to the authorities concerned that I had submitted my medicines permit application and the relevant yellow card for renewal at the beginning of last November .

The permit arrived from St Luke’s Hospital just a few days later. But my yellow card, which for some reason had to be submitted at Mater Dei Hospital, had at the time of writing (February 13) not yet turned up

Contacting the person in charge at the latter hospital I was told that it had been sent to St Luke’s. However, checking there I was informed that they had not received it. Meanwhile, I have been purchasing the medicines from my meagre pension.

Is this is another example of bureaucracy or is it that at my old age I have already been scrubbed from the Maltese citizen list?
