The Broadcasting Authority has ordered Xarabank to conduct a 15-minute interview with Opposition leader Joseph Muscat today after finding that an imbalance was caused when the Prime Minister was interviewed on the programme a week ago.

The interview with Lawrence Gonzi was carried out just after the Franco Debono crisis reached new heights.

The decision was taken after the Broadcasting Authority conducted an investigation on its own initiative.

The Nationalist Party appealed, arguing that Dr Gonzi had been interviewed only on matters involving the Nationalist Party.

But the BA yesterday rejected the appeal.
