Cologne tops the charts in June with a massive 55 per cent saving over standard hotel room prices on leading retail sites. In addition to affordable accommodation, Cologne also offers consumers plenty of cultural and historical treasures including its world-famous museums and active art scene. Boston follows closely behind with a saving of 51 per cent offering a bargain in a city where room rates in general have risen. A company spokesman said for those looking to get away with the family, hotels in Athens and Orlando are offering savings of up to 40 per cent with an average price of a Hot Rate hotel in Orlando coming in at £39. Florida is gaining in popularity with Europeans as a holiday destination this year.
