There was no red wedding when two Game Of Thrones fans tied the knot in a ceremony inspired by the bloodthirsty fantasy show.

Darren Prew and Kerry Ford, from Hereford, UK, even dressed up as their favourite characters for the event. Darren, a 37-year-old plasterer, was transformed into Night’s Watch warrior Jon Snow while his 33-year-old bride dressed as Daenerys Targaryen.

The pair found a castle, Eastnor Castle near Ledbury in Herefordshire, for the big bash and 12 members of the wedding party spent more than 50 hours being transformed into fantasy characters from the show.

Ms Ford even arrived at the service on a white horse, while Mr Prew arrived with two fierce looking dogs on leashes.

‘Stolen trousers’ flasher is jailed

A man who claimed his trousers had been stolen when he walked into a London Underground station naked below the waist has been jailed.

Christopher Dove, 39, attempted to talk to staff before sitting on the floor of Piccadilly Circus station, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

Officers found Dove, from Strood, Kent, still sitting down with excrement smeared over the lower half of his body and the station floor.

When questioned he claimed his trousers had been taken and that he had entered the station to ask for help, a BTP spokesman said. Dove was sentenced to four weeks imprisonment, at Blackfriars Crown Court, after pleading guilty to outraging public indecency.

Who’s at Fault for missing bench?

The city of Amsterdam is not sure who to blame after a bench that found fame in the hit film The Fault In Our Stars has gone missing.

Nobody noticed the green bench on the Leidsdegracht upon which the star-crossed teenage lovers talk and kiss had gone for at least a month – probably because someone put a large flower pot on the spot.

The bench resembles hundreds of others and could simply have been taken away for repairs. Other suspects include neighbours unhappy with tourist crowds visiting it, vandals or even fans wanting to own a piece of film history. The city says it will be replaced.

NYPD has no time for acrobatics

The US’s largest police department wants amateur acrobats who perform on New York City subway trains to take a seat.

So far this year, the New York Police Department has arrested more than 240 people on charges related to acrobatics. This time last year, police had made fewer than 40 such arrests.

The subway acrobats say they are just out to entertain and make a little cash. But police say they create a safety risk for passengers by flipping, somersaulting and pole-dancing in crowded cars.
