I am seeking some help from people in Malta. I am currently in the process of interviewing World War II RAF veterans in the UK for the International Bomber Command Centre at Lincoln where a memorial spire has been built.
These interviews are a contribution to the new digital archive containing real life memories of people who were there in the RAF in the war, both ground personnel and aircrew. These interviews will be accessible to the public when the interpretation centre opens on the site in Lincoln in 2017.
In three weeks’ time I will be visiting Malta for my daughter’s wedding in Mdina. Afterwards, I would very much like to have the opportunity to meet anybody who served in the RAF in Britain during the war. So if any readers served there I would like to hear from them please, or from their families.
Please would they contact the Royal Air Forces Association secretary in Malta, Major Tony Abela, either by e-mail at rafa.maltagc@gmail.com or call him on 2167 7061.
