Although it would receive no public funds for its excellent service, Public Broadcasting Services succeeded in making a “substantial” profit for its screening of all World Cup matches, Home Affairs Minister Emanuel Mallia told Robert Cutajar (PN) in reply to a parliamentary question.

Dr Mallia declined to give any details of the cost to PBS, citing commercial reasons.
