The Malta sector of the International Sociedad de Baile Español is organising a weekend at the College of Jazz, San Ġwann, on December 17 and 18 for Flamenco students and teachers with Cristian Lozano.

Lozano began his career in the companies of Ballet Español de Manuel Nuñez, Color Danza Española, Increpación Danza and Ballet de José Vega. Later he entered the company of Nuevo Ballet Español .

He performed with the Ballet Nacional de España from 2000 to 2007, often as the principal dancer.

Lozano will be covering classes at level two (Low Intermediate to Tangos) and three (High Intermediate/Advanced Tientos).

Special children’s classes have also been organised under the tutelage of Sherrill Wexler, senior examiner and executive European administrator for the Spanish Dance Society. Wexler danced professionally with the companies of Luisillo and Raul in Madrid, CAPAB in South Africa and performed at the Barbican Theatre, Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, UK.
