At the end of last May the number of women working full-time was 54,822, Employment Minister Evarist Bartolo said in Parliament yesterday.

He was answering a question by Labour MP Deo Debattista.

Women working part time as their sole jobs amounted to 18,937. In the over-50 age group there were 9,402 women working full time.

The minister said the Employment and Training Corporation held no statistics about any pay gap between the genders.
