The number of full-time workers went up by 1.6 per cent in November compared to the same month in 2010, the National Statistics Office said.

Quoting data provided by the Employment and Training Corporation, the NSO said the gainfully occupied population increased by 2,357 in a year, reaching 149,952.

The highest increase in employment was recorded within the health and social work sector while employment in construction saw the biggest decline. However, employment in real estate, renting and business activities went up by 4.4 per cent.
