Short Films In Winter revives cinema for the wintry season: instead of rolling up in your car, as with the drive-ins of yesteryear, you get to sip a hot chocolate in a heated venue as a diverse programme of films unfolds in front of you.

Hosted by Antonella Axisa and curated by Tiana Müller of Rövidfilmek-Hungary, a selection of some of the shorts has been prepared and they will be screened for the very first time on the night. “A vast array of wintry tales hailing from all over the world will be screened and they all celebrate how short films can capture memorable scenes of winter,” Müller said.

“Between scenes of heartwarming family moments, kisses in the snow, perfectly matched coats and hats, romantic walks in drizzling rain, these short films show that beauty can also be found in the coldest season of the year.”

Short Films In Winter is a unique alternative film distribution, exhibition platform as these shorts don’t get to cinemas or to TV. During the film event, the audience will be given the opportunity to vote for the best film.

Short Films In Winter takes place on Wednesday at 7.30pm at Naar Restobar, St Julian’s and is organised in conjunction with Euro Media Forum. For tickets send an e-mail to euromediaforum@gmail.com.
