A jam-packed weekend was planned for all bike lovers as KTM’S stunt rider Rok Bagoroš headlined his first ever RokON show in Malta on April 7 and 8.

With 2018 being Fapi Motors’s 20th anniversary, this event was a huge deal –  those who planned on attending the event had two full days packed with anything from test rides, a bike tour and performances – all leading up to the main event, the RokOn shows.

The test rides and the bike tour were carried out on April 7. To start off the day, riders had the opportunity to test out the brand new KTM Enduro bikes. Rok’s bike tour around Malta then followed, giving the 180 riders who took part the chance to all come together at this event.

Those who attended the events that were planned for Sunday were in for a treat. The press launch kickstarted the day’s events, with the unveiling of the highly-anticipated KTM 790 Duke 2018 model, designed with the aim to dominate the streets.

The RokOn shows were held in the morning and in the afternoon. Despite not having the best weather conditions to perform all of his impressive stunts, Rok still succeeded in wowing the crowd with the factory KTM 390 Duke and 690 Duke.

Although he makes it look easy, a lot of hard work goes into being able to impress the crowds. He trains for several hours a day back at his home in Slovenia. Undoubtedly, his work ethic, riding style and approach to new challenges are what made Rok so successful.

Renowned among other stunt riders from all over the world, he is the only stuntman who chooses to perform his stunts using a single-cylinder engine motorcycle.

He lives by the motto “Follow your dreams and never quit!” Starting as just a biking enthusiast as a teenager, he gradually became known as the best scooter stunt rider in the world and eventually made it big with KTM.

Last year, he headlined more than 100 shows, kicking off 2018 with RokOn shows in Istanbul, after which he flew his team to Nepal where he performed at 1,600 metres altitude and attempted a world record for the highest stunt show above sea level (3,664 metres) to ever be performed. Besides being an event geared towards bike enthusiasts, other family-friendly events were organised during Rok’s visit to Malta, including exhibits by Malta’s Tony and Cool, and performances by Mikaela and the Drop-Out DJ Brass Band.

Despite it being a free event, a total of €2,365.98 was collected from the donations in aid of the Puttinu Cares Foundation.

The KTM brand is represented in Malta by Fapi Motors Ltd., whose values of hard work and dedication reflect those of its parent company Famalco Group. Fapi Motors is a division of Famalco Building Businesses.
