As part of its Toi Toi Education Programme, the Manoel Theatre has introduced for the second season running the series of new plays – PikuŻi – written in Maltese for children aged 6+.

Pik and Żi are two 10-year-old Maltese girls. They have been close friends since they were very young, always went to the same school and spend a lot of time with each other.

They are always ready for an adventure and do not mind challenging the view of older people. But they fail to do this with malice because they are smart children.

Feedback from the first series was very positive with many commenting on how very well balanced, educational as well as entertaining the plays are. They deal with sensitive topics humorously and are very well received by children and parents alike.

After the performances children are encouraged to give their feedback, interact with the actors, ask questions and take photos.

The next in the series is PikuŻi fuq sieq waħda (literally translated as PikuŻi on one leg) which is being held tomorrow at 11am and 12.15pm at the Studio Theatre, 81, Old Mint Street, Valletta.

Tickets at €5 for children (aged 6+) and €7 for adults may be obtained by e-mail: bookings@teatrumanoel.com.mt or by calling 2124 6389.

• The other two plays in the series are Ferħa bla temma għal PikuŻi, being staged on Sunday, April 24, and X’se jsir minnhom PikuŻi? on Sunday, May 15.
