The summer blockbuster season is almost over, yet the line-up of films that will grace our screens this month courtesy of KRS Releasing Limited features a healthy mix of comedy, drama and more.

This week has seen the release of potential Oscar contender Boyhood, sci-fi action thriller Lucy and horror flick Deliver us from Evil. With more to come.

For something light, frothy and probably slightly naughty, Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel star in the comedy Sex Tape as a couple who decide to make a sex tape of themselves to add some spark to their marriage.

They get more than they bargained for when the tape goes viral. More comic capers in Let’s Be Cops, in which Jake Jonson and Damon Wayans Jr dress up as cops for a fancy dress party only to be mistaken for the real thing.

Director Lasse Hallström has built a career on quiet romantic, dramatic and occasionally comedic films that have sealed his reputation and The Hundred-Foot Journey should be a welcome addition to his repertoire.

Helen Mirren stars as Mme Mallory, the chef patron of Le Saule Pleureur, a Michelin-starred restaurant in a picturesque village in the south of France who is horrified when an Indian family open a restaurant a 100 feet from her own.

The Boxtrolls is an animated adventure set to appeal to all the family. They are a community of quirky creatures who live underground in a posh Victorian community.

Their lives are endangered when they become the target of the ruthless pest exterminator Archibald Snatcher (Ben Kingsley).

Disney’s Million Dollar Arm stars Mad Men heartthrob Jon Hamm as a sports agent in trouble.

A healthy mix of comedy, drama and more

He is inspired to seeking out cricket players in India and training them to become professional baseball players in the US.

Horror buffs can look forward to As Above, So Below, in which a team of explorers trawl the underground catacombs that lie beneath Paris to discover the dark secrets underneath the city, only to find they are on a journey into abject terror.

Liam Neeson continues his foray into action in A Walk Among the Tombstones.

Here, he plays a former New York detective turned alcoholic who starts to investigate a series of grisly drug-related murders.

Fans of young adult fiction will flock to see If I Stay, based on the bestselling novel of the same name. Chloë Grace Moretz stars as Mia Hall, a young musician faced with a life-and-death decision.

And finally, in what promises to be a solid thriller, Nicole Kidman headlines Before I Go to Sleep, as a woman who as a result of an accident years ago, is incapable of forming and maintaining new memories for more than a day. She lives a fragile existence in this condition with her husband, but when a doctor starts to help her recover her memories, it is clear that the truth of her life is something best left forgotten.
