Western Union Business Solutions, a business unit of the global payment services company, is to support tri-athlete Graham Borg as he trains for the Ironman-Kalmar Triathlon scheduled for August.

Mr Borg, 31, has been competing in triathlons since 2011 besides running his own small business. Although a relative newcomer to the circuit, he ranks fourth in Malta’s Sprint Triathlon League.

Western Union Business Solutions will support Mr Borg in his training efforts as he prepares to represent Malta at the prestigious event in Sweden on August 17. The Ironman competition includes a 3.8-kilometre swim, followed by a 180-kilometre cycle and a full 42-kilometre marathon in succession. “Graham is a consummate athlete and small business owner who works hard and portrays an image of strength, speed and success, which is exactly what we strive for as an organisation,” Western Union Business Solutions Malta country manager Jenny Pace said.

Western Union Business Solutions enables companies of all sizes to send and receive international payments and manage foreign exchange, creating unique solutions tailored to suit their needs. It is a leading non-bank provider of cross-border business payments and provides account-based services in 30 countries.
