• Misleading and aggressive sales practices are illegal and therefore prohibited.
• Any information provided to consumers has to be clear, intelligible and unambiguous.
• Unfair commercial practices are prohibited in any transaction between a business and a consumer, irrespective of the product or service, or the circumstance of the transaction, whether it is conducted face-to-face, via telephone, internet or mail.
• Misleading or aggressive trading practices may be reported to the Office for Consumer Affairs.
