• Always obtain as much information as possible about the foreign trader.

• If we are given a commercial guarantee, we should make sure it is valid in Malta, and if there is a responsible local agent, we should be given the agent’s details.

• When a problem crops up, we should always contact the seller first.

• Complaints with EU traders may be referred to ECC Malta.
