The Weddings and Events Exhibition returns to Ta’ Qali this week, starting today.
Now in its 21st edition, this year’s fair is set to be the biggest ever, with no less than 170 exhibitors setting up shop. As always, all the top names associated with this sector will be present including traditional services such as caterers, beauty artists, providers of music, wedding dresses and accessories, classic cars, after-party organisers and photographers all set to capture it. New ideas include the set-up and lighting of venues, whisky bars, dance studios willing to teach groups dance routines for the day and also pigeons to let off outside church after the ceremony.
Visitors can also enjoy participating in various competitions, mini events and samplings which are organised every day.
■ The fair starts today at the Mediterranean Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali and runs till Sunday. A block ticket system makes it cheaper to visit and revisit. The fair is open from 6pm to 10pm today and tomorrow, from 6.30pm to 11pm on Saturday and from 2pm to 9.30pm on Sunday. For more information, look up the event on Facebook.
